I know the version of you that's still deciding if staying is even possible. He's a great dad. He shows up for the kids. He's also emotionally unavailable in ways that are real and hard to explain to anyone on the outside. 

That was my life too. I got the same advice: a long list of things NOT to do. Don't be codependent. Don't enable. Just leave. But no one told me what actually works with someone struggling with addiction, or how to stay sane in the process.

So I decided to believe something nobody gave me permission to believe- that staying and keeping my family intact was possible. No one told me it could work. I decided to become my own proof that it could, and I did. Now it's my mission to help other wives do the same. To stay married without disappearing into it. To stay decisive, capable, and fully themselves, the whole way through.
